on the planet's surfaces, normalizing oiseau=textuality (birds hunting (for Cloud-Cuckoo-Land) . . . unidentified flying oiseaux
of 'Oiseau=textual' (and 'Marx Poetica', the long poem's bonus finale)) = poetry about freedom . . . = 'The Freedom of the Poet' (to use the title of a song on the album and oiseau=text 'Ultraviolet Flamingo' by Andrew Mbaruk & Vellum Bristol . . .).—'Phono=textual' was about speech as writing,
'Neuro=textual' was about thinking as writing,
& 'Bi=textual' was about the binarism inherent in writing,
but 'Oiseau=textual' (the best 1 of those 4 . . .) is about entire organisms, birds, as writing;
"the bird," this album says, "is the word," the long poem a bird outside the law . . . From "His beak a long curve like his descent into depression . . ." to "Yellow caution tape in the air . . .", 'Oiseau=textual' provides a flying bird's perspective on this new poetic movement called 'Mbarukism' . . .

All the music of 'Oiseau=textual' was performed and recorded by Andrew Mbaruk (alas), & the words are (of course) by Andrew Mbaruk except where Trey Dog Whistle, Th' Mole, Serkent Framwell, SUMMONER BREEZE & mosspossum contribute their verses. The sounds of birds on the album are really birds near Mbaruk's home studio. The album's art is by Gareth A. Hopkins.
